Innovate UK EDGE’s highly regarded Scaleup Programme provides one-to-one, bespoke and funded support centred around innovative scaleups’ specific needs. Selection for the programme is for the most outstanding scalable businesses disrupting their industries, capable of internationalisation and achieving over 50% annual growth. The UKRI Scale Up programme empowers innovation-driven businesses to grow rapidly and achieve their ambitions. The Innovate UK Edge team will work closely with Micregen’s to understand their needs and help identify the most effective strategy to accelerate growth and maximise potential. They aim to provide access to a range of resources, from investor networks to IP expertise and international partnerships. Micregen will have a Scaleup Director assigned as a designated single point of contact to identify key scale-up challenges and enablers that the board’s collective resources, skills and connectivity can address. In addition, a high-level Strategic Advisory Board provides another layer of connectivity and access to resources. It features a board of high-calibre ‘Scale Up Directors’ who provide a matrix of skills and connectivity across domains such as finance, M&A, international markets, IP, supply chains, scale-up leadership and talent management. Although Micregen is still in the R&D phase, the Scale Up committee have made an exception to their normal admission criteria because they believe in Micregen’s potential for exponential growth.
